About
Ben Holt is a versatile Canadian guitarist and UNT Jazz Master’s graduate. Currently the resident guitarist for Song Dynasty, he frequently collaborates with top Taiwanese artists like ?te and has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Ben Holt is a versatile guitarist whose musical journey took him from Canada to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2013. A seasoned educator and performer, he has served as Music Director at Cross Church Denton and held faculty positions at Tarrant County College and the Jazz Becuzz Arts Group and Center. After earning his Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas in 2015, Holt became a fixture in the international scene. Currently the resident guitarist for Song Dynasty, he is a frequent collaborator with acclaimed Taiwanese artists including Golden Melody Award winner ?te, nominee Hannya Chang, Zorina London, and the Taipei TPO Jazz Orchestra. In 2022, he performed with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) for the "La La Land" live-to-film concert at the National Concert Hall.
