Lee ChengYu is a versatile saxophonist mastering both classical and jazz. A UNT graduate and conductor of the Taipei Jazz Orchestra, he balances teaching with professional expertise in performance, arranging, and big band leadership.
Lee ChengYu is a distinguished saxophonist with a dual mastery of classical and jazz traditions. After graduating from National Taiwan University's Department of Civil Engineering, he pursued his musical calling in the United States, earning a Saxophone Performance Diploma from Bowling Green State University in 2001. He furthered his expertise at the University of North Texas, where he obtained a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance and studied jazz. Currently, Lee is a faculty member at the National Taipei University of Education and the Department of Music at Fu Jen Catholic University. He also serves as the conductor of the Taipei Jazz Orchestra. His professional scope includes saxophone performance, jazz theory, arranging, and big band conducting.
