Based in Taoyuan, Liu Daren is a versatile bassist who earned his Master’s degree in Jazz Performance from National Dong Hwa University, studying under Yohei Yamada and Wei Guang-hao. A dedicated figure in contemporary jazz and experimental music, Liu is recognized for his nuanced low-end presence and rhythmic stability. His extensive performance history includes collaborations with trumpet legend Eric Miyashiro and Taiwan’s 'King of Drums' Huang Rui-feng, as well as appearances at WiJazz Records, the Kaohsiung Sea Breeze Music Festival, and the NTCH Jazz Camp.
