Rozhan Razman is a versatile bassist and producer from Kuala Lumpur. Following a prolific decade in New York collaborating with legends like Steve Gadd and Chris Potter, he blends technical mastery with a sophisticated jazz sensibility.
Rozhan Razman is a Kuala Lumpur-born bassist, audio engineer, and record producer. His musical journey began in Malaysia with the Electone Organ at age eight and the guitar during his teens. After graduating from the International College of Music (ICOM) with a major in Electric Guitar and Music Production Technology, he relocated to the United States in 2005 to attend Berklee College of Music. There, he dual-majored in Contemporary Writing & Production and Bass Performance. Over the course of 13 years based in Boston and New York City, Razman established himself as a versatile musician and technical expert, owning a recording studio in Brooklyn and operating Riro Muzik. As a bassist and recording/mixing engineer, his credits include collaborations with a prestigious array of artists such as Steve Gadd, Wayne Krantz, Chris Potter, Dave Binney, Me’shell N’degeochello, Solange, Monica, Bilal, and Joe Hisaishi. He has also performed as a member of groups such as Freckle Legend and Persian Blue.
