The program begins with the deep blues of "Ain’t Got Nothing But the Blues," moving through the late-night modern jazz atmosphere of "Angel Eyes" and "Footprints," before transitioning into the tender emotional shadows of "The Look of Love." In the crossover segment, The Beatles' "Norwegian Wood" and "Blackbird" are reimagined through jazz harmonies and improvisational language. Ryuichi Sakamoto’s "Tango" blends Eastern poeticism with tango rhythms to create a cool, elegant ambiance. The evening concludes with the soul-R&B classic "Ain’t No Sunshine," weaving together blues, standards, and crossover sounds into a fluid musical landscape.
