About This Event
The "Girlfriend Quartet" highlights the exceptional talent and vibrant voices of female musicians in the jazz scene. This performance features a curated selection of jazz standards and original arrangements, celebrating the genre's inherent freedom and energy. The quartet is joined by featured flutist Jenni Tsai, a Master's graduate of the New England Conservatory. Tsai's extensive international career includes performances at the Shanghai JZ Jazz Festival, South Africa's Arts Alive Festival, and major jazz festivals across Taiwan. Having collaborated with Grammy and Golden Melody Award-winning artists such as Jerry Gonzales and SoftLipa, she brings a rich musicality that spans classical, jazz, and hip-hop to the Blue Note stage.
