KL-based Indonesian percussionist Ajeng Diatri is the 'heartbeat' of the city's jazz-pop scene. A Jao Tim regular and member of MILENNIALLISTICZ, she masterfully blends Y2K Indo-Pop nostalgia with contemporary groove and versatile artistry.
Ajeng Diatri is an Indonesian percussionist based in Kuala Lumpur, a vibrant presence in Malaysia's independent and live music scenes, particularly within the jazz and pop crossover spheres. Known for her infectious energy, she is often described as the 'heartbeat' of the ensemble, infusing live performances with a powerful sense of groove. A regular at Kuala Lumpur’s iconic Jao Tim, she has collaborated with numerous distinguished musicians. Currently, she is best known as a member of the trio MILENNIALLISTICZ alongside vocalist Puspall and guitarist Deo Karmawan. The group specializes in reimagining classic Y2K-era Indo-Pop, bringing nostalgic melodies to the modern live house stage. Beyond this, her work with diverse ensembles like ARQ showcases her remarkable musical versatility. Offstage, she shares her passion for Kuala Lumpur’s urban life and music through social media.
