Jazz pianist Grace Weng blends the poetic sensibility of Bill Evans with Monk's playful eccentricity. A mainstay at Blue Note Taipei and major festivals, she is a sophisticated performer and dedicated educator shaping the jazz scene.
The Reunion Trio is a first-of-its-kind project conceived by guitar master Bruce Forman, bringing together three living legends of jazz: Forman himself, bassist John Clayton, and drummer Jeff Hamilton. This unique ensemble focuses on playing and evolving musical artifacts handed down from their predecessors. Specifically, the trio performs on the actual instruments played by their respective mentors, the iconic group known as The Poll Winners, which consisted of Barney Kessel, Ray Brown, and Shelly Manne. As acclaimed bandleaders and composers in their own right, Forman, Clayton, and Hamilton translate these historical connections into truly interactive and swinging sets, bridging jazz history with contemporary mastery through the very tools that shaped the genre's legacy.
