Zamil Idris (born Ahmad Zamil bin Mohd Idris, April 23, 1978) is a versatile Malaysian vocalist, television host, and actor. He rose to national prominence as a finalist in the inaugural season of Malaysian Idol in 2004, where he was celebrated for his vocal strength in ballads and earned the nickname "The Crooner." With a repertoire that spans across pop, ballads, and classic crooner standards, he often performs works popularized by Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, and Josh Groban. His professional career includes significant stage work, such as his 2007 debut in the production TUNKU The Musical. As a recording artist, he has released singles including "Pesanan Terakhirmu" (2014), "Keranamu" (2016), and "Ku Berdiri" (2020). Beyond his vocal career, Idris is a seasoned "Singing Emcee" and television presenter, having hosted a national English talk show for nearly a decade.
