【Doris Lin|drums】 Doris Lin (林冠良) is a jazz drummer based in Taiwan. She is active in the local music scene, specializing in jazz drum performance and recording studio work. Her professional background includes solo drum performances and sessions within community music spaces and recording environments, focusing on the craft of percussion and rhythmic expression. 【Grace Weng|piano】 Jazz pianist Grace Weng possesses a musical style deeply rooted in the poetic sensibilities of Bill Evans, the playful eccentricity of Thelonious Monk, and the refined elegance of Cedar Walton. A mainstay of the jazz scene, she performs regularly at Blue Note Taipei and has graced stages at the Taichung Jazz Festival, Sappho, Marsalis, Alchemy, Yuppy Bookstore, and the Grand Hyatt. Beyond her performance career, Weng is a dedicated educator who has shared her expertise through jazz courses at the National Theater & Concert Hall Summer Jazz Camp, Fu Jen Catholic University, and Shih Chien University. 【Jenni Tsai|flute】 Jenni Tsai is a highly accomplished Taiwanese flutist who holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. A versatile artist known for her crossover capabilities, she bridges the worlds of classical, jazz, and Latin music. She currently serves as the leader of the creative ensemble "NotALady" and is the flutist for the Cuban jazz group "Soy La Ley." Her professional experience is extensive, ranging from regular collaborations with the Public Television Service (PTS) to performing with prestigious orchestras such as the Boston Philharmonic, the New Taipei City Symphony Orchestra, and the Pro Arte Orchestra Taiwan. Tsai has been a prominent figure in the Asian jazz scene, appearing six times at the Taichung Jazz Festival between 2011 and 2016. Her performance credits include the Shanghai JZ Jazz Festival, the Hangzhou Flower Music Festival, and major events at the National Theater and Concert Hall (NTCH) in Taipei, such as the Summer Jazz Party. Internationally, she has performed at venues like the Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai and Victoria Hall in Singapore. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with acclaimed musicians including Jerry Gonzalez, Walter Blanding, Laura Fygi, Jeremy Monteiro, Tina May, and Arno Hass. In addition to her performance career, Tsai is a dedicated educator, teaching at Soochow University's Department of Music and the Taipei European School. She is also a recognized brand ambassador for P. Mauriat flutes. Her creative output includes original compositions and arrangements, such as her adaptation of Astor Piazzolla's "Histoire du Tango," which was performed at the National Concert Hall by the Taipei Chinese Orchestra. Her 2017 solo concert, "Classic Without Limits," highlighted her commitment to blending 20th-century modernism with jazz and Latin influences, demonstrating her unique position as a musician who views the flute as a tool for diverse musical expression. 【Refa Wang|bass】 Refa Wang is a versatile Taiwanese bassist who earned her MMus and MPerf in Jazz Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the UK. From 2013 to 2019, she was a key member of the music production team for the British fashion brand APUJAN, performing at London Fashion Week. Upon returning to Taiwan in 2019, she joined 9m88's "Beyond Mediocrity" album release tour as double bassist and secured third place in the Taichung Jazz Festival competition that same year. In 2020, she was honored with the Best Band award at the Taipei Jazz Festival, performing on the main stage at Daan Forest Park, and remained a featured artist at both the Taichung and Taipei Jazz Festivals through 2021 and 2022. Beyond the stage, Wang's expertise extends to album recording, film production, video shoots, and technical coaching for actors, establishing her as a rare and consistently active female presence across diverse artistic disciplines.
