New England Conservatory alumna Jenni Tsai is a versatile flutist blending classical, jazz, and hip-hop. From major international festivals to intimate clubs, she has collaborated with legends like Jerry Gonzales and SoftLipa, showcasing boundary-breaking artistry.
A Master of Music in Flute Performance from the New England Conservatory, Jenni Tsai is a versatile flutist whose artistry bridges the worlds of classical, jazz, pop, and hip-hop. Her career has taken her from prestigious national concert halls and theater pits to intimate jazz clubs across Taiwan, the U.S., and China. Tsai's extensive festival credits include the Shanghai JZ Jazz Festival, Hangzhou Flower Music Festival, South Africa’s Arts Alive, and the NTCH Summer Jazz Party. She has graced stages such as Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, the National Theater & Concert Hall in Taipei, the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, and Singapore’s Victoria Hall. Her collaborative portfolio features Grammy and Golden Melody winners like Jerry Gonzales, Walter Blanding, Laura Fygi, Jeremy Monteiro, Tina Ma, Arno Hass, SoftLipa, and Tseng Tseng-yi. Notable highlights include her 2017 recital 'Classics Without Limits' and a 2021 collaboration with jazz flutist Rit Xu at the Taiwan International Flute Festival. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at Soochow University, a member of Trio con Brio, and leader of the band Not A Lady.
