Established in 1997, the Jazz Meta Band (變形蟲爵士樂團) has spent over two decades evolving from a group dedicated to interpreting various jazz styles into a pioneering force in Taiwan's jazz scene. The ensemble is deeply committed to jazz education, the promotion of the genre, and the development of original compositions that integrate local musical elements. Their journey has been marked by a steady and grounded approach to international exchange and artistic growth. Throughout their history, the Jazz Meta Band has released two significant albums: "Jazz Meta Live" and "Let's Dance" (來跳舞吧), released in 2005. The latter features jazz interpretations of classic songs such as "Spring Breeze," "Green Island Serenade," and "Jasmine Flower." Their performance credits include major domestic and international events such as the Macau Taipa Houses-Museum Music Festival, the Jakarta Java Jazz Festival, the Taipei Riverside Jazz Festival, and the Taichung Jazz Festival. In recent years, the group has focused on projects blending Latin music with jazz, highlighted by their 2010 "LOHAS Brazil" concert at the National Theater Experimental Theater.
