A Kaohsiung-based jazz drummer, Wang De-jun specializes in jazz, funk, and fusion. Inspired by Dave Weckl and Steve Smith, he promotes jazz culture through performances at major festivals and local venues across Taiwan.
Wang De-jun is a jazz drummer hailing from Kaohsiung. Following his military service, he was deeply inspired by legendary drummers Dave Weckl and Steve Smith, leading him to delve into the study of jazz, funk, and fusion. He further refined his artistry through studies in music and interdisciplinary arts at the Taipei National University of the Arts. Currently based in Kaohsiung, Wang is dedicated to the promotion of jazz music and remains a vibrant presence in jazz venues and major music festivals, showcasing his dynamic performance energy.
