Kuala Lumpur-based drummer Justin Fam is known for his progressive, textural style. A versatile performer and technician, he has collaborated internationally with artists like Talitha, while bridging music with mental health through community service.
Justin Fam is a Kuala Lumpur-based drummer known for a style described as progressive, versatile, and textural. As a professional musician performing across local and international platforms, he has collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Talitha, Ryan Pynam, and Nicolaz Tan. In addition to his performance career, Fam is active in drum recording and serves as a music technician for acts such as Lost Spaces, RESORT, and TYDEL. His performance highlights include appearances at the SUPALAPA music festival (2024), overseas engagements in Bandung, Indonesia (2023), and the Tiba-Tiba Riuh concert. He has contributed recorded drums to projects by Simon Peter, including "White Christmas" and "Walking the Wire," and performed for a TEDx event. Beyond the stage, Fam is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Professional Counselling and is deeply involved in community work, supporting B40 families, indigenous communities, and refugee groups. He aims to create initiatives that bridge the gap between music, mental health, and community service.
