JHouse continues its mission to showcase avant-garde and experimental music with "Rough Experiments: Raw Soundworks." This unique performance takes place directly within an active construction site, pushing the boundaries of both the venue and the music itself. Featuring Japanese drummer Kikanju Baku and Taiwanese guitarist 陳穎達, this duo promises a high-energy musical confrontation. Kikanju Baku, described as a "prophet wandering between tracks," is renowned for his supernatural precision and complex polyrhythms. His style balances intricate counterpoint with raw, desolate improvisation, featuring some of the fastest single-foot kicks and breathtaking time-signature shifts in the scene. Since 2001, he has been a pivotal figure in experimental music through labels like Lofiordirex and Tetsubishi Gob-Stopper. Joined by the versatile Taiwanese guitarist 陳穎達, the duo will deconstruct and reassemble sonic elements into a lethal auditory feast.
