Welcome to Sappho Live Jazz in Taipei for the weekly Tuesday Jazz Jam! Whether you want to sit back and enjoy the stellar house band or bring your instrument to join the Open Jam, this is the perfect place to experience the spontaneous magic of jazz. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable Jam Session, a few guidelines are in place. Musicians should sign up on the registration form with their instrument (inform staff if a mic is needed). Each participant typically plays two songs before rotating. If more than five musicians play the same instrument, the rotation shifts to one song per person to give everyone a chance. On stage, you can discuss song choices, styles, and keys with your fellow musicians. For "Trading" sections, it is recommended that the melody player initiates with the drummer. The bar opens at 8:00 PM, with live music kicking off at 9:00 PM. General admission is $200 plus a minimum one-drink purchase ($200). Musicians participating in the Jam Session enjoy free entry with a one-drink minimum. If you have any questions, the event Host is there to help.
