"聲音" (Sounds) is a collaborative project featuring three distinguished improvisers and jazz musicians: Tokyo-based multi-instrumentalist Risa Takeda, award-winning Taiwanese saxophonist Minyen Hsieh, and acclaimed vocalist-composer YenTing Lo. Risa Takeda, a Hokkaido-born artist, transitioned from classical piano and drums to synthesizers in 2014, creating a unique sonic worldview. She has performed over 100 improvised shows annually with masters such as Akira Sakata and Tatsuya Yoshida. Minyen Hsieh, a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and winner of the Taichung International Saxophone Competition, is a versatile performer who has contributed to numerous Golden Melody and Golden Indie Music Award-winning albums. Completing the trio is YenTing Lo, an Amsterdam-trained vocalist and arranger whose poetic approach to jazz has earned her multiple Golden Indie Music Awards and Global Music Awards. Together, they combine acoustic instruments with electronic effects to create an imaginative and vibrant soundscape.
