About This Event
This unique quartet, featuring the Sheng (traditional Chinese mouth organ), guitar, double bass, and drums, consists of musicians with deep jazz backgrounds. Their performance extends from jazz foundations into contemporary soundscapes and free improvisation. By integrating the distinctive timbre of the Sheng, the music navigates the space between rigid structure and open freedom, utilizing a musical vocabulary of cultural fusion and reconstruction.
