Musical Afternoon Tea: '101st Marriage Proposal' - Those Years, the J-Drama Theme Songs We Followed
Join us for a "Musical Afternoon Tea" featuring the iconic J-Drama theme songs of the 90s. From the rhythmic pulse of "LA·LA·LA LOVE SONG" in "Long Vacation" to the soaring chorus of "SAY YES" from "101st Marriage Proposal," these melodies defined an era of urban romance. Japanese vocalist and pianist Ikumi Koyama, who studied under Bebop legend Barry Harris in New York and frequently participated in Jam Session events in the city, joins forces with keyboardist Wu Zhi-jie. Together, they recreate the emotional landscapes of "Tokyo Love Story," "Yamato Nadeshiko," and "Nada Soso." Experience a sophisticated dialogue of notes that brings these classic scenes back to life through a blend of jazz sensibility and nostalgic storytelling.
