Adam James is a versatile drummer, songwriter, and producer with a deep background in both jazz and indie music. Born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, he pursued formal training in jazz drumming at McGill University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music with distinction. During his studies, he co-founded the group Panache, showcasing his dual talents as a jazz vocalist and drummer. James established his musical roots in the Chicago scene before moving to Los Angeles. His career spans various genres, having performed as a drummer for the indie-pop band STAMPS since 2010 and joining Hellogoodbye in 2018. He has also worked with The Yearbooks and currently serves as a producer and songwriter at Donnie & Donnie. His academic background includes studies at Elmhurst College and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
