Scott Dodd is a versatile bassist with over 20 years of experience. A staple of the Hong Kong scene, he excels in jazz, funk, and Latin styles, collaborating with icons like Eugene Pao and numerous pop stars.
Scott Dodd is a versatile bassist proficient on both electric and double bass with more than 20 years of experience in the music industry. After graduating from the School of Music at Australian National University in Canberra in 1996, he worked extensively throughout Australia, performing at jazz concerts and clubs. During his career, he has studied with Keter Betts and collaborated with notable musicians such as Giacomo Gates and Andrew Speight. In 2004, Dodd relocated to China, where he became involved in various projects including a collaboration with the JR Jazz Band. Since moving to Hong Kong, he has recorded and performed with a wide array of jazz and pop artists, including Eugene Pao, Ted Lo, Blaine Whittaker, Antonio Hart, Angelita Li, Sandy Lam, Khalil Fong, George Lam, Alex Lam, Ivana Wong, Jason Chan, and Michael Wong. His musical expertise spans jazz, funk, and Latin styles. In addition to his performing career, he serves as the Operations Manager at Silva Records Studio Lounge.
