Tonight, where's the jazz?

After much anticipation, Fountain de Chopin is proud to welcome back the legendary Ted Lo. Following his successful eight-city China tour in mid-2025, Ted has been eager to bring that specific repertoire to his home audience in Hong Kong. For this special performance, he is joined by his regular collaborators, Nelson Fung on bass and Dean Li on drums. Their long-standing chemistry promises a night of musical sparks and seamless improvisation. Ted Lo's career is a living history of Hong Kong jazz; as the first Chinese graduate of Berklee College of Music in 1976, he performed in New York with icons like Astrud Gilberto, Ron Carter, and Herbie Hancock before returning to HK in 1996 to bridge the gap between jazz and the local pop scene. This performance is part of the 'Live at Jim Hall' series, dedicated to providing the highest quality listening experience for both musicians and the audience.
