Kuala Lumpur-born bassist and producer Rozhan Razman spent 13 years in the US collaborating with icons like Steve Gadd and Chris Potter. A Berklee alumnus, he blends technical precision as an engineer with soulful artistry on the bass.
Rozhan Razman is a Kuala Lumpur-born bassist, audio engineer, and record producer. His musical journey began at age eight with the Electone Organ before he picked up the guitar in his teens. He pursued Music Production Technology at the International College of Music (ICOM) as an Electric Guitar major. In 2005, Rozhan moved to the United States to study at Berklee College of Music, where he dual-majored in Contemporary Writing Production and Bass Performance. Over a 13-year period based in Boston and New York City, he toured the country and operated his own recording studio in Brooklyn. As a bassist and recording/mixing engineer, he has collaborated with a distinguished roster of artists including Solange, Monica, Steve Gadd, Wayne Krantz, Dave Binney, Chris Potter, Bilal, Me’shelle N’degeochello, and Joe Hisaishi.
