Tonight, where's the jazz?

Damien nice, right?
Olivier Cong is a Hong Kong-based interdisciplinary music creator, singer, composer, and director. In 2017, he founded Raven & The Sea Music Production to explore the fusion of music with digital media, experimental theatre, and installation art. For this performance, he joins forces with singer-songwriter and actress Ashley Lin to pay tribute to the legendary Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice. Active in the Hong Kong music scene since 2018, Ashley's vocal style and musical language are deeply influenced by icons like Aretha Franklin, Jane Monheit, and Esperanza Spalding. In 2024, she officially debuted as a singer-songwriter, winning the Gold Award for Best Female Newcomer at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. Damien Rice’s work spans folk and chamber music, characterized by sincere yet restrained emotions. This performance stems from Olivier and Ashley's shared listening experiences, reinterpreting Rice's delicate, introspective sentiments through the beauty of space, vulnerability, and live immediacy.
