1. Scope
This policy applies to physical merchandise purchased through the JazzNode platform from venues (T-shirts, posters, CDs, vinyl, prints, souvenirs, etc.). The merchandise shipper is the venue; JazzNode is the transaction platform.
2. Statutory Refund Right (7-Day Cooling-Off Period)
Pursuant to Article 19, Paragraph 1 of the Taiwan Consumer Protection Act, you may exercise your right to rescind the contract within 7 days of receiving the merchandise:
• Apply for a refund from the order detail page
• The merchandise must remain in original received condition (unused, unopened, no human-caused damage)
This cooling-off period applies across all JazzNode markets as the maximum common denominator.
3. Statutory Exceptions
Per Article 2 of the Reasonable Exception Rules to Mail-Order Transaction Rescission Right, the following are NOT subject to the 7-day cooling-off period:
• Customized merchandise (signed editions, engraved, limited-numbered)
• Easily perishable, short shelf life, or expiring items
• Opened audio/video media (CDs, vinyl, Blu-ray)
• Newspapers, periodicals, magazines
If a product page clearly states 'no refund after opening' or 'non-refundable customized item', placing the order constitutes acceptance.
4. Cooling-Off Period Calculation
The 7-day period begins on the day you receive the merchandise (inclusive):
• Shipping: based on the carrier's 'delivered' timestamp
• Pickup: based on the time you complete pickup at the store

6. Venue Review & Auto-Approval
The venue will review your refund request within 72 hours:
• Approved: the platform initiates the refund
• Rejected: the venue must state a reason limited to statutory exceptions (Section 3)
• Auto-approved on timeout: if the venue does not respond within 72 hours, the system auto-approves

7. Refund Execution
Once approved:
• Refund the full merchandise amount, including JazzNode platform fees
• Payment-provider refund fees are absorbed by JazzNode
• Refunds are returned to the original payment method (credit cards typically 7–14 business days)
If shipped, you must return the merchandise per the venue's instructions; return shipping is negotiated based on the refund reason.
8. Cross-Market Consistency
This 7-day cooling-off policy applies in all JazzNode markets: Taiwan (mandatory), Korea (mandatory), Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia (voluntarily aligned). Local statutory exceptions take precedence in their respective markets.
